Langnau jazz nights
In this project, the focus lay on experimental work. I started by using only analogue methods — paper, scissors and different pens, then reworking my designs by scanning and copying. The process was really intuitive and I tested different ideas to visualize movement and rhythm. I decided to focus on the idea of deforming the typography, generating contrast. The additional information is put into the upper left part of the poster and differed through a colour gradient from white to red.
The final poster visualizes movement and rhythm. The typography with its sharp and blurry parts looks like it is breaking out of its grid, being an analogy of musical improvisation.
